The 48th round of the Cairo International Book Fare was officially inaugurated by Egyptian Prime Minister Sheirf Ismail early on Thursday, Ahram Arabic news website reported. The annual event runs for two weeks, through 10 February. It brings together 670 publishers from 35 Arab, African and other countries, the General Egyptian Book Organisation said earlier this week. This year's edition hosts Morocco as the country guest of honor. Thursday's inauguration at Nasr City fairgrounds, in the northeastern part of the district, was attended by a host of officials including Egyptian culture minister Helmy El-Namnam and his Moroccan counterpart Mohamed Amine Sbihi Source: Ahram online
