Zurich – Arab Today

AUTOBEST, a jury of leading car journalists Zurich – Arab Today AUTOBEST, a jury of leading car journalists from 15 Central and Eastern European countries, has named the Chevrolet MyLink connected radio as the winner of its SMARTBEST 2013 award. The organization described the system as an “innovative, simple and very affordable technology”. The SMARTBEST award was introduced last year. Chevrolet MyLink technology aggregates content from smartphones onto a high-resolution, full-color touch-screen display and provides easy access to phone books, personal playlists, photo galleries and/or videos, and other stored media and data. MyLink radios offer access to specialized apps, such as BringGo navigation, voice recognition and streaming audio. Compatible devices can be connected via USB or Bluetooth. There is also a dedicated plug-in outlet for certain personal music devices that do not use USB or Bluetooth connections. “Thanks to this innovative, simple and very affordable technology, all passengers are able to enjoy their favorite music or news programs, and speak to friends or family while driving,” declared Ilia Seliktar, AUTOBEST jury president. “Chevrolet MyLink brings through a smartphone all infotainment facilities into the car, from the navigation system to your favorite radio station,” Seliktar added. Chevrolet MyLink is available in several of Chevrolet’s carlines, including the new Trax small SUV. In addition to winning the SMARTBEST award, Chevrolet is among the five finalists that will compete for the AUTOBEST 2014 award, with the Trax. The winner will be announced in mid-December, 2013. About AUTOBEST The AUTOBEST organization is the only international independent jury focusing on emerging markets. To become an AUTOBEST winner, price, service network, spare parts distribution and versatility are the most important criteria in the voting process. The members of the AUTOBEST jury come from 15 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and represent a virtual market with more than 300 million people. Each member of the jury is an outstanding motoring journalist and a respected voice in his country. AUTOBEST is the second largest independent motoring jury in Europe. www.autobest.org Source: Chevroleteurope
