The volume of Yongle Encyclopedia found in Huntington Library, Los Angeles, the United States of America. Archivist at the Huntington Library, discovered one volume of Yongle Encyclopedia, a Chinese classified books commissioned by the Ming dynasty emperor Yongle in 1403 and completed by 1408, with 22,937 rolls, 11095 volumes, and about 370 million characters. The original manuscript of the Yongle Dadian completely lost by the end of the Ming dynasty, the version that survived is the manuscript copy that made during the reign of the Jiajing Emperor. The one volume of the Yongle Encyclopedia founded in Huntington Library was from the Jiajing version, with 2 rolls, No. 10270 and No. 10271.
