Prime Minister Hisham Qandil will open on March 19 the 46th session of Cairo International Fair, said Head of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences Ahmed el-Dib. Speaking at a press conference, el-Dib said that the fair, which will run until March29, will see the participation of about 800 Egyptian, foreign and Arab companies. He, meanwhile, said that Japan will be the guest of honor at the exhibition. Talking about securing the fair, el-Dib said that several sessions were held with the security leaderships to secure the fair, affirming that the Egyptians are up to the responsibility. CIF is an annual event organized by the Egypt Expo and Convention Authority (EECA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade. It aims to create favorable conditions for local and foreign enterprises and trade organizations to search for business partners; expand markets; develop production, business and import and export activities; as well as showcasing new products and services.
