Kuwait Consul General in Milan Abdunnaser Bukhadhoor attended Saturday the 18th international handicraft fair, featuring participation for the first time of Kuwait National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL). Bukhadhoor, speaking to KUNA, underlined the importance of Kuwait's participation in the fair, which runs until December 8, alongside 113 countries with the objective showing quality of handicrafts of the Arab Gulf country. He said handicrafts displayed by NCCAL reflected the culture and tradition of Kuwait. Bukhadhoor praised the NCCAL for its pavilion which was frequented by Italian visitors to closely get acquainted with handicrafts used by the Kuwaitis decades ago, which would deepen cultural exchange between peoples. He said Kuwait participation in the international fair reflected its keenness to actively take part in international cultural and artistic events in order to shed more light on history and identity of the State of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people. The NCCAL is displaying samples of big sail boats, dresses and other handicraft made up of leaves of palms.
