Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) in collaboration with Kuwaiti Society of Formative Artists (KSFA) opened the annual formative art and photography show Monday evening. The show offers a chance for local and foreign artists, whether professionals or amateurs, to share experience, network and produce works of great aesthetic appeal, KNPC CEO Khaled Al-As'ousi said in his inaugural speech. "This is the seventh session of the annual event in a row," he said, noting that based on the previous successes, the KNPC decided to expand the scope of the gallery to include more categories of exhibits. "The KNPC works to create a rich environment and promote the sense of aesthetics among its workers and the public at large through sponsoring the cultural and artistic programs," he added. Al-As'ousi expected more successes for the gallery in the coming years due to the growing interest of participants, adding that the current session has an arbitration panel made up of high-profile KSFA members.
