Katara Cultural Village will celebrate next Saturday evening the Garangao night.
The celebration will be held at Building 12 in a festive atmosphere amid chants and songs that will recall the memories of the past and renew its heritage and traditions. It will provide a range of distinctive and amazing activities which combines ideas, visions and arts.
The Garangao night's programme will feature many recreational activities that will delight the hearts of children and their families. Among these activities will be a library for children to teach them how to deal with the library, how to design cards, and how to prepare photo albums for the beginner as well as the preparation of text and graphics images' mini-albums. Reading and dialogue activities will also feature in the programme with a special corner allocated for popular dishes and traditional handicrafts, in addition to painting with henna and face painting.
through this celebration, Katara aims to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of visitors and to revive heritage.
On the other hand, the public of the cultural district are on a date tomorrow with the contest: "Find your Treasure'' which extends to two days each week which are Thursday and Friday after the Taraweeh prayer where 10 boxes are hidden in various parts of the cultural district with only one of them is the lucky box. The winner who chooses the lucky box will gets a prize worth QR 5,000.
