Etihad Modern Art Gallery has hosted an exhibition entitled "Women/Creators", under the patronage of Sheikha Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahayn. The Gallery was able to provide a unique perspective for art produced by women from the community. Featuring the prominent artists Dr. Najat Makki, Khulood Al Jabir, Isabelle Riou-Teisseire and Giovanna Magugliani. Khaled Siddiq Al Mutawaa, the Founder of Etihad Modern Art gallery, said, "Being able to showcase the extra ordinary works of these four female artists here at our gallery was one of the very pleasant moments witnessed by the gallery, especially with the support of Sheikha Shamma, and the fact of her being a notable supporter of arts and culture initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The artists were able to demonstrate their individual creativity allowing for a diverse collection, which we believe will have a great impact on the way female artists will be perceived from now onwards."
