Prince Rashid bin Al-Hassan opened here today the Casablanca International Book Fair in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the guest of honor. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saif, Saudi Ambassador to Morocco Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Bisher, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for International Cultural Relations Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazza and a number of Moroccan officials. Prince Rashid toured the Saudi Pavilion and was briefed on its contents. The Saudi Pavilion covers an area of 592 meters, containing a section for the Holy Quran, models for the Two Holy Mosques, visual presentation on the architecture of the Two Holy Mosques, a section for the Kaaba's Kiswah and a section for children's books. The program of the ten-day fair features academic conferences, meetings with writers, book signing, arts exhibitions and conferences on arts, science, technology, engineering and architecture.
