Manama - BNA

Bahrain is set to host eShabab 2013 next summer under the patronage of Minister of State for Communication Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. The event will come along a conference on technological innovation and will be organized by Work Smart for events management at Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Centre from July 1 to 3. The function aims to encourage the youth to innovate, compete and make use of their hidden potentials by developing technological innovative projects. It will also provide the needed marketing to those projects that are highly expected to succeed. The conference on technological innovation will focus on the latest innovative trends with more than twenty guest speakers from around the world. It is worth to note that eShabab 2013 is the third edition of an event which was organized by Gulf Future Business Company in 2009 and 2010. However, it is expected to gain momentum this year as it is not only a youth-oriented competition but will feature a rich programme including an international conference in technological innovation, full-day workshops and discussion sessions between innovators and the private sector. Many universities in Bahrain have shown interest in taking part in the event with innovative projects in the information and communication technology field. Winning teams will be honoured in the competition. Work Smart CEO Ahmed Al-Hujairi thanked Shaikh Fawaz for patronizing the event and the universities in Bahrain for their cooperation. He said "the ultimate objective of eShabab is to engage the youth in the development process by encouraging them to tap on their creativity potentials."
