On Saturday, 24 September, poetry readings will be held in centers for culture and bookstores across Egypt, under the banner of freedom of speech.A number of poets have organised simultaneous poetry recitals in bookstores and cultural centres across Egypt. The chosen day is Saturday, 24 September, under the name "One hundred thousand poets for freedom of speech."The event has been adopted by the Independent Culture Coalition. Poetry will be recited in Rawabet Theatre, Cairo, Abgadeyya Bookstore, Kotob Khan and Ein bookstore in Alexandria, among other places. The event starts at 4pm and lasts to 11pm.Among the poets who will participate are Zain El-Abedin Foad, Ibrahim Daoud, Gehan Omar, Ashraf Yousef and Nagat Ali.
