Many Kuwaiti embassies in Gulf, Arab and foreign countries are celebrating Kuwait's 53rd National Day and the 23rd anniversary of Liberation Day. In Singapore, the Kuwaiti embassy organized a reception to mark the country's national festivals and to celebrate eight years since His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah assumed power. The party was attended by Kuwaiti diplomats in Singapore and a large number of Singaporean officials, members of parliament, public figures and businessmen, along with several ambassadors in this Asian country. In Istanbul, the General Consulate held a joyful celebration marking Kuwait's National Day and Liberation Day, which fall on February 25 and 26. Speaking to KUNA following the ceremony, the dean of the consular corps in Istanbul, Sheikh Fahad Salem Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, voiced heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government and people on the national festivals. He stressed firm cooperative and fraternal relations between the State of Kuwait and Turkey, which have been largely reinforced thanks to the sponsorship of both countries' political leaderships. In the Hungarian capital of Budapest, Kuwaiti Ambassador Hamad Burhama held a reception on the occasion of Kuwait's national celebrations. The celebration, which was held at Intercontinental Hotel late Monday, was attended by a number of Hungarian ministers and officials and Arab and foreign ambassadors in Hungary. In Tehran, Kuwaiti Ambassador Majdi Al-Theferi organized a ceremony to mark the Gulf country's national and liberation days last night. Speaking to KUNA following the party, which attracted several senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ambassador voiced wishes that Kuwait would enjoy everlasting security, stability, progress and prosperity. In the Qatari capital of Doha, Kuwaiti Ambassador Metaib Al-Metawtah organized a reception on the occasion of the country's national festivals in presence of many Qatari officials and public figures. Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, who was present in the celebration, told KUNA that Qatar and Kuwait enjoy very close fraternal relations. He wished Kuwait more stability, development and welfare. In Abu Dhabi, the Kuwaiti Embassy marked the national occasions by holding a grand ceremony, attracting several cabinet ministers and officials and dignitaries of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with Arab and foreign diplomats. The Kuwaiti Embassy in Berlin held a reception for officials of the German Foreign Ministries and Gulf, Arab and foreign ambassadors who congratulated the Kuwaiti government and people on their country's national and liberation days. Speaking to KUNA, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Germany Monther Al-Issa voiced heartfelt and sincere congratulations to the Kuwaiti leadership and people on the 53rd National Day and the 23rd anniversary of Liberation Day. He boasted that the State of Kuwait and Germany enjoy continuously developed cooperative relations. In China's Guangzhou, the Kuwaiti General Consulate marked Kuwait's national festivals by holding a reception that attracted senior officials, public figures and investors of the Chinese province.
