Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities agreed on Japan's hosting of the Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibition for one year.
The exhibition will be held in the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Niigata from September till October of 2015.
In statements after the council meeting on Wednesday, Antiquities Minister Mamdouh al-Damati said the exhibition will include 124 artifacts with insurance value of 771.4 million dollars.
The exhibition is expected to bring ten million dollars in proceeds, he said.
He said Egypt gets 2 dollars from each ticket being sold and ten percent from total value of the archaeological models to be sold on the sidelines of the exhibition.
Items excavated from the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun are to be displayed in the exhibition.
