Tehran - QNA

An earthquake measuring 4.2 degrees on open-ended Richter scale shook Miami city in Iran's central-northern Semnan province Wednesday night. According to Iran's News Agency (IRNA), the Seismography Network of the Country affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran has reported the quake at 36.60 latitude and 55.66 longitude. There has still been no report on probable human life loss, or material damages of the quake. Iran is one of the most seismically active countries in the world, being crossed by several major fault lines that cover at least 90% of the country. As a result, earthquakes in Iran occur often and are destructive.
