Tehran - FNA

Deputy Head of Iran's Environmental Protection Organization Ali Mohammad Sha'eri told press tv that cooperation will begin under agreements signed by an Iranian delegation and Chinese officials on the sidelines of the Iranian delegates' visit to several industrial units engaged in production of electronic vehicles in Shanghai. For the time being, more than 10,000 worn-out minibuses are plying Iranian roads and streets, Sha'eri said, adding that utilizing new technologies for mass production of electric public transportation vehicles is of high importance. In Tehran, cars produce at least 4,400 tons of air pollutants a day, according to a study by Iran's Air Quality Control Co., the report said. Fiat, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Suzuki, Toyota and Volvo either export to Iran or have manufacturing agreements with Iranian car companies.
