An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale on Saturday struck the southern coast of Mexico, some 7.8km from San Dionisio del Mar, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The USGS noted that the quake was just off the coast of Oaxaca state, in Mexico’s southwest, and it struck at a depth of 59.5 kilometers, Sky News channel reported.
No casualties or damage were reported, Sky News added.
