King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived on Wednesday for a one day visit to Cairo to discuss regional issues and cooperation with Egypt, as well as the Palestinian-Israeli peace process. Abdullah was received by President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi at Cairo International Airport. Sisi and Abdullah are set to hold a summit at the presidential palace in Cairo. The two Arab leaders plan to discuss preparations for the upcoming Islamic summit in Saudi Arabia on 21 May, which will gather a range of Arab and Islamic leaders along with U.S President Donald Trump. They will also discuss joint counterterrorism efforts.
