Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is confident surprise signing Louis Saha can be a success at White Hart Lane after completing a late swoop for the veteran striker. Saha, 33, sealed his move to Spurs from Everton last night with South African international Steven Pienaar heading in the opposite direction on loan and Roman Pavlyuchenko leaving for Lokomotiv Moscow. Tottenham's bid for Saha, who has a history of injury problems and has struggled to establish himself at Goodison since joining in 2008, was seen as a risky move by pundits. However Redknapp is confident Saha's signing is not a gamble, and believes the Frenchman can contribute to Tottenham's league campaign. "He's got good movement, can score goals but probably needs a change. He's out of contract at the end of the year so (Everton boss) David Moyes has let him go," Redknapp said. "I can remember speaking to Rio Ferdinand and he said he was the best forward he'd played against." Redknapp, who has been on trial in a London court for the past fortnight on tax evasion charges, which he denies, was given relief on Tuesday as Spurs swept aside Wigan 3-1 at White Hart Lane. The victory kept third-placed Tottenham firmly on course for qualification to next season's UEFA Champions League, and Redknapp even permitted himself a touchline jig as Spurs second and third goals flew in. "I kept dancing around like a two-year-old!" Redknapp said after the win. "It was nice to get on my feet again. The fans were great - I appreciated it. I am happy. We're back up there again. I keep looking at the gap behind us. We're 13 points ahead of Arsenal now - it's a nice lead."
