French rally driver Sebastien Ogier won the Race of Champions title on Sunday, shattering home hopes of seeing German stars Sebastian Vettel or Michael Schumacher triumph. Ogier, who was third in this year's World Rally Championship, defeated eight-time Le Mans 24 Hour Race winner Tom Kristensen in the final. "Just to reach the final was great on my first appearance, so to win it is just fantastic," said Ogier. Formula One world champion Vettel was defeated in the quarter-finals by Schumacher but the legendary German driver was then beaten by Kristensen. On Saturday, Vettel and Schumacher had teamed up to win the Nations Cup for a fifth successive year.
