Greg Norman, who will captain the International team in the Presidents Cup, says he would not have selected former world number one Tiger Woods for his side in the match-play tournament. Norman told the Fort Myers News-Press newspaper in Florida that in his opinion, PGA champion Keegan Bradley would have been a more logical choice for US captain Fred Couples -- who made Woods a captain's pick even though the 14-time major champion has not won a tournament since 2009. "I can understand the name of a Tiger Woods and his history of what he's done on the golf course," Norman said. "But I pick the guys who I think are ready to get in there and play and have performed to the highest levels leading up to it." Norman made his remarks while promoting his Shark Shootout tournament. Bradley is part of the 24-man field in the unofficial event and Norman said he felt bad for the 25-year-old rookie that he was not selected for the US team. "He's a young guy. He likes the Presidents Cup. He loves the idea of playing for his country, and he's not. So I feel for him." Woods, who has battled injury and indifferent form this season, finished tied for 30th at the Frys.com Open last week, his first tournament in almost two months. The Presidents Cup is scheduled for November 17-20 at Royal Melbourne. The United States have lost to the Internationals just once -- in 1998 at the same venue.
