Dirk Kuyt today spoke of his absolute faith that Kenny Dalglish is returning Liverpool to the top.The Holland international accepts there have been a few disappointing days for the supporters this season. He insists the players feel equally frustrated after games like our defeat to Sunderland last weekend - but the 31-year-old believes there is no shortage of evidence that the Reds are becoming a force once more. "We've made a great spell of progress," Kuyt told Liverpoolfc.tv. "It's never easy when a lot of new players are coming into the club. You have to fit them into the team. "But we have a quality group of players. Not only 11 players but a great squad. We beat United, we beat Arsenal, we have beaten Everton twice, but it's true that we dropped too many points in other games and that's what we're trying to change. "The only thing that we can say to the supporters is that we work every day, really hard in training and we try to win every game possible. I'm sure we will be okay in the future; we have just got to keep going like this. "Sometimes we've been a little bit unlucky. People are talking lots about us hitting the post but that's behind us now - you have to look forward." Liverpool continue their quest for a cup double on Sunday when they host Stoke City in the FA Cup quarter-finals.Last time the sides met Stoke left Anfield with a point following a goalless draw. Our Dutch striker admits he is not the best person to be around after such results. "When we lose I'm not the happiest person and my wife knows that," he said. "But the kids are waiting for you, the family are waiting for you, so you have to just switch off. That's the most difficult part. When I lose a game I feel horrible and I just need some time to get over that." One attribute Kuyt believes helps the squad is unity. "We've always had a great group," he said. "It was something that seemed very special to me when I first arrived at the club - the group was always tight and close to each other and would see each other outside of the training ground or after the game. "We had a great group and now it's the same. If you are clicking well together it will help you in the difficult moments." Such togetherness has already contributed to Liverpool winning one trophy in Dalglish's first full season back in charge - and victory on Sunday would leave us just two games away from another. So how would Kuyt feel adding an FA Cup medal to his collection? "It's a really famous trophy here in England but it's also a very special trophy in Holland," said the forward. "Most of the FA Cup ties are live on the TV in Holland and it's a very special thing over there. I think it's the same in Europe and even around the world. The FA Cup is something special and it would be great to win it."
