Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has leapt to the defence of the club's owners ahead of a crucial Premier League encounter.Rovers take on Wigan at the DW Stadium on Saturday with the two teams sat bottom and second-bottom in the table.Defeat for Blackburn will only increase the pressure on Kean and the club's owners, Venky's, who have been the target of protests already this season.Saturday will mark a year to the day since they took control of the club, who were managed by Sam Allardyce at the time.Rovers were 11th in the table, four points above the relegation zone, on November 19th last year, but Kean is urging fans not to criticise the owners' running of the club.He said: "Anything I have ever asked for in any transfer window has always been delivered."I think when we are trying to build a young team maybe you are not going to pick up as many points as a more senior, older team but I think we are improving and the owners know that as well."Any promises they made to me as far as allowing budget, any time I have asked for a player to be re-signed or if I wanted any backing in bringing a player to the club - none more so than Scott Dann on deadline day for a sizeable amount of money - that has been delivered."They are very involved, they watch the games, they enjoy coming over and spending time at the stadium and at the training ground, meeting the players."The players then went out to India and enjoyed meeting them on a personal level. I think every member of the team and the staff knows what they are about now and have a personal relationship with them which I think is unique."
