Rennes defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik has pledged his international allegiance to Cameroon. The France-born 22-year-old turned down a call-up to the France Espoirs squad, Les Bleus' U-21 side, last year as he sought to qualify for the country of both his parents' birth. And he confirmed today in L'Equipe: "I have chosen Cameroon. There will be no going back. I have given my word to the Cameroonian Federation. "I know (France coach) Laurent Blanc will not change the squad who qualified for UEFA EURO 2012. In Cameroon there is a real desire to see me play in the green shirt, a desire I have never felt in France. "I've given up any chance of being selected for France. I don't want to start a controversy or a war of words - they didn't want to call me up, full stop."
