QPR have appealed to supporters to help them find a fan who threw a coin at assistant referee Stuart Burt during their 2-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday. Burt was hit on the back of the neck by the coin, which appeared to come from Ellerslie Road Stand at Loftus Road, after he awarded a free kick to Arsenal in stoppage time. The referee, Mike Dean, halted the game for two minutes following the incident and is believed to have included it in his match report. The club have since confirmed that they will review CCTV footage and interview stewards in an attempt to track down the perpetrator, who could now face a lifetime ban from the ground. They are also appealing to the club's fans, particularly those who sat in close proximity of the incident, to come forward. Not acceptable "Such behaviour is simply not acceptable at Loftus Road or anywhere else for that matter," said Rangers chief executive Philip Beard. "As a club, we will do everything possible to prevent such incidents happening again. "The club appeals to any fans who saw the coin throwing incident to come forward and assist our enquires. "If you wish to report the incident confidentially, please report it to Stadium Control by texting 07557435421." Lifetime ban Rangers said in a statement on their official website: "The club is aware of a coin-throwing incident that took place in the latter stages of Saturday's home fixture against Arsenal at Loftus Road. "The club are now in the process of reviewing CCTV in an effort to identify those people responsible and will take the appropriate action once this process has been completed. "QPR supporters are reminded that this is a very serious offence and anyone caught throwing an object onto the pitch - towards officials or players - will be issued with an immediate lifetime ban from Loftus Road."
