Rome - Arabstoday

Ferrari has halted work at its Maranello base after a second earthquake in a week in Northern Italy. The quake, which occurred in the Emilia region, is reported to have measured 5.8 on the Richter Scale and has claimed at least eight deaths in the Modena area with a number of other people currently missing. The latest tremor comes a week after seven people died in a quake measured at magnitude 6.0. Although the Ferrari factory wasn't affected by the quake, the team elected to take the decision to stop work for the day to allow staff to head for home. “After the earthquake, working activity has been suspended for today,” a message posted on Twitter read. “All the workers and employees have been allowed to join their families.”
