The Aba Elephants vow to avenge their defeat at the hands of Wydad when the Moroccans visit the Nigerians in a fortnight as the club chairman says that they have not given up hope. After losing 1-0 to Wydad Casablanca in their Caf Champions League semi-final first leg match at the weekend, Nigerian champions Enyimba have declared war on their opponents in anticipation of the return leg in Nigeria. It was the first loss for the Aba Elephants in this year’s tournament as they were undone by a late goal from substitute Pascal Angan, which will put the pressure on them when they welcome the north Africans."No, it’s not over for us," chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu told the club’s website. "They have done theirs, now they have to come to Aba for the return leg.""In a knock-out stage like this, it is expected for a team to go all out when they play at home in the first leg, so that is what they have done.“The game could have ended goalless but it did not so we have to move beyond it, we have to put it behind us and prepare for them in Aba."The two-time African champions know what it takes to win the tournament and will count on their knowledge of past competitions to scale the enormous battle ahead in order to win their third trophy and compete in the year-end Club World Cup."We are an experienced side. We have been here before. They would see a different Enyimba in the return leg, I can assure people of that."We know what we have to do to get to the finals so we are going to work hard. Fans should not be worried at all by thinking this is the end, no. This is where it starts,” Anyansi said.
