Carlos Tevez’s return was bound to spark an exodus of some sort at Manchester City. The first to go, according to British media reports today, will be the Bosnian striker Edin Zeko. According to the Daily Mail (http://bit.ly/GVgZpK), Manchester City have decided to offload Edin Dzeko at the end of the season and Juventus and Real Madrid are on the radar. More importantly, the question is will Manchester United do a City-Tevez and steal Dzeko from the Blue end of Manchester. Dzeko has not been given a chance to prove his worth, placed behind Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero and now Tevez in the City pecking order. When he has been played though he has shown calm and poise in front of goal. Most importantly, Dzeko will bring an aerial threat that United lack with their current crop of strikers – Danny Wellbeck, Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney. Another measure of the striker’s prowess is that Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is a firm admirer of the 26-year old. With Dzeko costing £27million little over a year ago, City will be eager to recoup as much as possible of their outlay, and United might be able to outbid Juve. Meanwhile, in a confirmation that Dzeko’s days are numbered, Carlos Tevez is being primed for his first start in six months. With fellow striker Sergio Aguero injured and Mario Balotelli struggling for form, he is in line to start against Sunderland on Saturday.
