Crystal Palace are 12/1 outsiders to continue their Carling Cup fairytale after putting out Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Championship club stunned the Red Devils with a 2-1 to reach the last four and the bookies are making them outsiders again to lift the trophy next year. United's city rivals Manchester City are firm favourites at 5/6 as Roberto Mancini looks to add the League Cup to last season's FA Cup triumph. City have been drawn against Liverpool in the last four and will encounter a Reds side chasing their first trophy since 2006. Kenny Dalglish's team dumped out Chelsea in midweek and appear to be taking the competition seriously by fielding strong line ups throughout. Liverpool are 13/8 to claim the first Carling Cup since 2003. Cardiff are 9/1 shots after they dispatched Blackburn in the quarter finals and are no strangers to domestic finals after their 2008 FA Cup adventure. The Bluebirds are going well in England's second tier and have been paired with Crystal Palace in the semi-final after their heroics against the Premier League champions. Palace were beaten 2-0 by Cardiff in the league recently and are the outsiders at 12/1 to triumph at Wembley next February. The first leg of each semi-final will be played on the week beginning January 9th 2012.
