AMIR KHAN has ruled out a rematch with Marcos Maidana, who gave him hell in a WBA title fight last year. It would have been great for the fans but I don't blame Khan for not wanting a piece of the action. Instead, Amir is targeting the winner of Erik Morales' WBC title fight with Lucas Matthysse. If that happens, Khan would have three of the four major world titles. Khan recently responded to some comments by James DeGale about me bringing him back from defeat. Referring to his loss against Breidis Prescott, Khan said: "It was a blessing I got beat and Frank didn't bring me back. I brought myself back on top... just making it clear." Sure, Khan did the important work in the ring, but his success was down to the matches I made. I got Marco Antonio Barrera over and I persuaded him it was a good idea to move up to light-welterweight to fight Andreas Kotelnik. Khan's team were reluctant to leave the lightweight division but it was probably the best decision they were ever talked into. TWO sons of legends are in action on September 17 when Ronald Hearns clashes with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Chavez Jnr is already the WBC middleweight champ and at just 25, is already unbeaten in 45 fights. But he's not his dad and is yet to be really tested. Hearns, the 17-year-old son of Tommy, is coming into the fight off the back of a stoppage by Felix Sturm in a world title challenge, the second time he's been halted. It looks a tall order. Agbeko's promoter Don King objected to Russell Mora's appointment claiming he had been warned he was a "Golden Boy referee". Mora failed to spot numerous Mares' low blows and called a knockdown when one floored Agbeko. Ghanaian Agbeko lost a majority call. Now the IBF have ordered a rematch.
