Jurgen Klopp has signed a two-year extension with Borussia Dortmund, keeping him tied down until 2018, the Bundesliga club announced on Wednesday. The 46-year-old's previous contract was due to run out in June 2016. His assistants Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz also had their contracts extended to June 2018. "We are all still a bit in love with this club and the way things are done here," said Klopp, who joined Dortmund in 2008 and led them to the Bundesliga title in 2011 and 2012. Club director Hans-Joachim Watzke added: "Since we shouldn't separate things that go together, we've extended the coach and his team's contracts." Dortmund, who reached the Champions League final last season and also won the German Cup in 2012, are currently a point behind champions Bayern Munich in the league. Under Klopp, they have won 106 out of 180 league matches, just two shy of the record set by former coach Ottmar Hitzfeld, who won 108 out of 208 matches and led the club to their only Champions League success in 1997.
