Germany's world champion Severin Freund won his sixth World Cup ski jumping competition of the season, on the large hill at Kuopio, Finland on Tuesday, in an event reduced to one jump due to high winds.
Freund topped the standings with a jump that reaped 139.3pts, with Norwegian Anders Bardal second on 135.9, for his 12th top three finish of the season.
Overall leader Stefan Kraft of Austria finished joint third, with Swiss veteran Simon Ammann, as his lead at the top of the rankings was slashed to 25 points over Freund.
The circuit now moves to Trondheim in Norway on Thursday before switching to Oslo and competitions on Saturday and Sunday ahead of a ski flying competition in Planica, Slovenia.
