AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri was satisfied his side recovered from 2-0 against Palermo to secure a point on Sicily last night, but believes there is more to come from his players. Palermo led through a Fabrizio Miccoli penalty and a goal from Franco Brienza early in the second half, but Milan ensured a share of the spoils through Riccardo Montolivo and Stephan El Shaarawy's seventh goal of the season. I Rossoneri moved up to ninth in the table, with their hosts climbing out of the bottom three, but Allegri still sees room for improvement. He told reporters: "The players did well to believe in themselves, to come back into the game and they played a great second half." Allegri also spoke of the need to look after his players to avoid burnout, particularly El Shaarawy and Urby Emanuelson. "I made changes to the team because I wanted to give a rest to some players as playing every three days is not easy. "I can't burn out El Shaarawy who is playing every three days and this evening played with a cold. I can't burn out Emanuelson. I'm not a madman, I gave a rest to those players who have been ever present." Allegri hopes to hit on the winning formula so his team can regain some of the ground they have lost on the leaders. "The objective is get a run of results together to get up the league table. We could have three or four points more than we do for what the team have done so far. I'm not saying we didn't deserve to lose points, but we could certainly have more than we have now." From FIFA
