Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Vladimir Klitchko will defend his WBA, IBF and WBO titles against French Jean-Marc Mormeck in Germany on Dec. 10, the press-service of Klitchko's brothers announced on Thursday on its official website. "Mormeck is one of the most experienced opponents, whom I have ever met. He had a lot of championship fights. He is technically strong and intelligent boxer. I promise that this fight will be very interesting and exciting," Klitschko was quoted in a statement as saying. Klitchko's 20th world champions fight will take place at the home stadium of football club Fortuna ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf. The 39-year-old Mormeck who has 36 wins from 40 professional fights, is a former WBC and WBA champion. He has won all his fights since 2009, after his moving to the heavyweight division. The 35-year-old Klitchko is unbeaten in 53 from 59 professional contests with a record 49 knockouts. It would be the first Ukrainian boxer's appearance in the ring after his victory over David Haye from Britain on July 2, 2011. The fight between French and Ukrainian boxers will be televised in 120 countries. Ticket sales will start October 12.
