Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has made a range of changes to his side to meet the Brumbies at Bay Park Stadium in Mt Manganui on Friday night. Flanker Tanerau Latimer moves to the blindside of the scrum, with Sam Cane to playing on the openside, while Liam Messam moves into No 8, with Jackson Willison starting at centre and Richard Kahui moving to the wing to replace Asaeli Tikoirotuma who is on bereavement leave. Two players who were in the Chiefs development side that beat Samoa A, 71-17, last week, come onto the bench. They are prop Josh Hohneck and hooker Marcel Cummings-Toone who replaces Hika Elliot who is out until the next home game with a scratched eye. They're joined by Scott Waldrom who puts on the Chiefs playing strip for the first time this season. Latimer is looking forward to the home game in his back yard: ``We have always have lots of support when we play at the Bay and the boys really appreciate it. You can tell from last week's match that having that local support really spurs the guys on. It definitely helped when it came to that last 20 minutes against the Crusaders which was pretty intense,'' Latimer said.
