Fifth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland downed Julia Goerges in straight sets Saturday to win the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Radwanska downed her German opponent 7-5, 6-4 for her first WTA title of the season. The match was statistically close although Radwanska won 55 percent of her second-return points to Goerges' 35 percent. The win was expected to move Radwanska up to fifth place in the world rankings. Goerges missed an opportunity to build momentum in the wake of her upset of world No. 4 Caroline Wozniacki in Friday's semifinals.
