Top-seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and No. 3 seed Sloane Stephens of the United States cruised into the semifinals at the Citi Open in Washington Thursday. Pavlyuchenkova of Russia topped Taiwan's Kai-Chen Chang 6-4, 6-4 and Stephens dispatched Canadian Eugenie Bouchard 6-4, 6-4 in just 67 minutes. Pavlyuchenkova will face Vania King, who outlasted fellow American Coco Vandeweghe 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. Stephens moves on to a semifinal match against Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia, who downed Jana Cepelova, also of Slovakia, 6-2, 6-4.
