Terrance Ganaway scored five touchdowns Thursday to rally Baylor from an 18-point deficit to a spectacular 67-56 win over Washington in the Alamo Bowl. In one of the wildest offensive shows in college football bowl history, the Huskies came from 14 points behind with a 28-point second quarter that gave them a 35-24 lead at halftime. Washington increased the advantage to 42-24 early in the third quarter on an 80-yard pass from Keith Price to Jermaine Kearse, but the Bears then scored six touchdowns over the final 26 minutes. The last five scores were all produced by Ganaway, who gained 200 yards on 21 carries to overshadow Baylor's Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Robert Griffin III. Baylor (9-3) had three rushers reach the 100-yard mark and Price threw for 438 yards and four touchdowns to give Washington a chance for the upset. The teams combined for a staggering 1,394 total yards -- 777 of them from Baylor. Ganaway scored on an 89-yard run with 8:28 to go in the third quarter to bring the Bears within 42-39, but Price came back with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Devin Aguilar for a 49-39 lead. Ganaway scored on 1-yard runs the next two times Baylor had the ball to put the Bears in front, but Price ran 8 yards for another touchdown to give Washington (7-5) the lead again. Baylor promptly drove 70 yards in just 85 seconds and Ganaway's 4-yard scoring run put Baylor in front for good with 8:15 to play. After Washington gave up the ball on downs, Baylor needed just three plays to produce the clinching touchdown that came on a 43-yard run by Ganaway. Jarred Salubi gained 101 yards on just five carries for Baylor and Tevin Reese, who had only two carries, also picked up 101 yards. Reese had a 78-yard run to set up one of Baylor's touchdowns. Griffin, who said after the game he would defer his decision on whether to return to Baylor for his senior year, completed 24-of-33 passes for 295 yards.
