Prince William's wife Catherine relived her youth as a school field hockey captain on Thursday as she slotted home a goal during a morale-boosting visit to Britain's Olympic squad. The former Kate Middleton swapped her high heels for trainers and her blue blazer for a grey team sweatshirt to play with the squad at the venue for the 2012 Olympics in Stratford, east London. She finished off the outfit with a pair of skintight hot pink jeans. The 30-year-old, who captained her high school team at the elite Marlborough College, said afterwards it was "nerve-wracking but great. I really miss playing". Kate, now known as the Duchess of Cambridge, took three shots from the left side of the goal and missed, but then scored first time from the centre, winning a loud round of applause. The team also gave her a white sleeveless team top with Cambridge 1 on the back and a polo shirt for William, who is currently on a mission as a search and rescue pilot in the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. She is an ambassador for Britain's Olympic and Paralympic teams, one of her first official roles since she married William, the second in line to the British throne, in April 2011. Kate later visited an art gallery in south London with William's father Prince Charles and Charles's wife Camilla.
