Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the BRAVE International Combat Week including the World Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Championship comes to an end Saturday at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium.

It is organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federations and in cooperation with the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation and the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.

The fighters had fought a number of strong bouts in the preliminary round and then moving on to the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, reaching in the end to finals, which will be held Saturday in various weight divisions, these bouts will witness spectacular levels by the fighters.

It is hoped that (14) finals will be held Saturday at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium, the Sports Channel will broadcast the event live on the air. The Organizing Committee also invites sports audiences to attend the tournament after His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa directed the organizing committee to allow fans free entry to the hall.

 

 

Bahrain on a date with gold for fighters Hamza and Talha

Amongst the (14) finals, Bahrain will have a date with gold in two matches. Hamza Mohammadov will meet with Moldagayliv in a tough match. Bahraini fans will cheer for Mohammadov to win the gold medal, especially since he has a very high potential.

The second Bahraini date for gold will be with Murtadha Talha when he faces Pavel Bahimenko in the finals. Talha also showed outstanding abilities throughout the tournament, he is a candidate to win today and harvest gold.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa stands behind our national team stars and is keen to attend all confrontations of the Bahraini fighters. He supports them morally and encourages them before the matches and during the rest periods, in addition to his keenness to be the first who enters the ring in order to congratulate winners and console losers.

The website of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation praised the Kingdom of Bahrain praised in a report on their website's main page. The website emphasized that Bahrain has the ability to host major sports events. they mentioned some quotes from His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad: "Our vision is to make the game popular in the region, perhaps more popular than football", this is a clear indication of his interest in the tournament and the game, and his great efforts in spreading it in the region.
