World No. 7 Tomas Berdych from Czech Republic grabbed the last semifinal place by beating Spain's David Ferrer 3-6, 7-5 and 6-1 at the ATP World Tour Finals on Friday. Berdych, 26, had to win the last Group A match to reach the last four while the world No. 5 Ferrer has booked his berth two days ago after taking two straight set victories. The world No. 1 Djokovic failed to qualify as he lost to Janko Tipsarevic 6-3, 3-6 and 3-6 earlier on Friday and had to pin his hope on Ferrer defeating Berdych. As the winner of Group A, Berdych will meet Frenchman Jo- Wilfried Tsonga who finished second in Group B on Saturday with Ferrer challenging Swiss master Roger Federer.
