Matt Cain allowed four hits over seven innings Wednesday and three relievers completed a shutout to give San Francisco a 6-0 victory over Arizona. Cain (16-5) won his third straight start and has allowed only two earned runs over his last 20 innings. He walked one and struck out six. The San Francisco starter helped his own cause by beating out an infield single in the fifth that drove home a run and gave the division-winning Giants a 5-0 lead. Pablo Sandoval had two RBI, one with a third-inning single and another on a fielder's choice grounder in the fourth. Wade Miley (16-10) gave up three runs on six hits in four innings to take the loss.
