Samuel Deduno won his third consecutive start and Brian Dozier smacked a two-run homer Thursday to lead the Minnesota Twins to 5-0 win over Boston. Deduno (3-0) went six innings allowing two hits and four walks while striking out six for the Twins, who broke a two-game losing streak and won for the fifth win in their last seven games. Casey Fien pitched one inning of perfect relief and Glen Perkins struck out three in two innings of perfect relief to earn his sixth save. Dozier's two-run homer was the highlight of Minnesota's nine-hit attack. He went 3-for-4 and scored twice. Denard Span, Ben Revere and Ryan Doumit each drove in a run for the Twins. Adrian Gonzalez collected both Boston hits, one of which was a double. The Red Sox left six runners on base. Jon Lester (5-9) went eight innings and lost his fourth consecutive start, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out seven.
