Carlos Gonzalez drove in four runs Wednesday and was one of five Colorado players with three hits in the Rockies' 17-8 romp over San Francisco. Both teams had a seven-run inning, but Colorado scored in each of the first five frames and produced 22 hits to break a three-game skid. Gonzalez drove in a run in four different at-bats -- with a triple in the first, another triple in the third, a groundout in the fourth and a single in the fifth. He was one of seven players to produce an RBI in the Colorado fifth inning, at the end of which the Rockies had built a 16-7 lead. San Francisco scored seven times in the fourth to take a brief 7-6 advantage. Nate Schierholtz and Brandon Crawford both had a solo homer in that inning and Hector Sanchez had a two-run single. Dexter Fowler, Todd Helton, Michael Cuddyer and Chris Nelson also had three hits each for the Rockies. Tim Lincecum started for the Giants and gave up six runs on eight hits in just 2 1/3 innings without figuring in the decision. The loss went to Guillermo Mota (0-1), who gave up four runs in just one inning of work. Matt Reynolds (1-0), the second of four Colorado pitchers, got the win after surrendering a run in 1 2/3 innings. Tyler Chatwood worked the final three innings and was thus credited with a save even though Colorado had a nine-run lead when he entered the game.
