Homer Bailey allowed four hits while going the distance and leading the Cincinnati Reds past Pittsburgh 8-1 Tuesday. Bailey (4-3) threw 103 pitches as he notched the second complete game of his career. He struck out five in a contest delayed at the start by nearly 2 hours by rain. The Reds banged out 12 hits, with Jay Bruce going 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored. Todd Frazier had two RBI. The Reds built a 4-0 lead before pinch-hitter Casey McGehee drove in the lone Pittsburgh run with a base hit in the fifth inning. Cincinnati responded with a run in the sixth and three in the seventh to keep the game on ice. Charlie Morton (2-6) took the loss for Pittsburgh. Morton, who has dropped three consecutive decisions, allowed four runs on six hits in four innings.
