Zedan Polo and Abu Dhabi will clash in what should be an exciting final of the Silver Cup 2012 on Friday afternoon for the first trophy of the season at the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club. In the first semi-final played earlier this week, Zedan beat Habtoor Polo 8-6 while Abu Dhabi overcame Mahra 7-5 in the second semi-final. Zedan and Habtoor Polo played one of the most exciting games of the tournament with Nachi Heguy scoring seven of the eight goals for the victors. Habtoor Polo fought back bravely to tie the match at six all at the end of the third chukker, but fantastic run by Alex White in the fourth chukker and a Heguy penalty from 60 yards in the fourth chukker saw Zedam home safely. Friday’s final showdown will be preceded by a Subsidiary Final between Habtoor Polo and Mahra to decide the third and fourth places. For reservations and further information, call +971 4 361 8111 or email: info@poloclubdubai.com. Entry to the field - which is open for picnics from 14:00 - is Dh100, while there is also a brunch at Palermo Restaurant from Dh250 per person.
