Ahly and Zamalek players will wear the same shirt for a 6 October celebratory match against a squad consisting of the league's three military sidesZamalek board member Sherin Fawzi revealed Sunday that his side received a formal invitation from the military, to form a team of Zamalek and Ahly players to face a military team that to play a match as part of 6 of October holiday celebrations.Former national team coach, Hassan Shehata, was preferred over Ahly's Portuguese tactician, Manuel Jose, to lead the Ahly/Zamalek team because he is Egyptian.“Zamalek accepted the invitation and the technical staff will construct a team of Ahly and Zamalek players,” Sherin Fawzi announced.It’s an honour for us to participate in that great and public festival,” he added.The military team will be chosen from Haras El-Hodoud, El-Gaish and El-Intag El-Harby teams.The holiday, 6 of October, marks a 1973 military success in crossing into Suez and is celebrated nationally in Egypt.
