The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) continued their preparations for the upcoming National Day Endurance Championship, to be held on Saturday at the Bahrain International Endurance Village in Sakhir.
The team is gearing up for the 120-kilometre event under the guidance and directives of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
BREEF received a large amount of riders from local stables in the registration for the season’s precious races, and Saturday’s event is expected to be no different being the third race of the season.
A competitive and challenging ride is set amongst all participants.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad directed the importance of outstanding preparations for the upcoming 120-kilometre ride, to be held as part of the country’s National Day celebrations. He stressed that BREEF is working hard for the success of the event, noting that it is considered to be one of the most important races of the season.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad directed that all organising committees for the championship and BREEF members get ready early and ensure proper organisation for the hosting of the race.
He expressed his confidence that the high number of participants for the upcoming ride will enhance the strength of competition. He explained that all riders have extensive experience, in addition to high levels showed by their performances in the opening two races of the season.
He welcomed the riders taking part from local stables, who will have a strong presence in this event, and pointed out that their participation will be strong and will give the tournament a special taste of the success of one of the most precious championship of the season.
He wished all riders and stables the very best for the race, and said he hopes they achieve positive results and advanced positions.
On his part, BREEF Endurance Committee Chairman Shaikh Daej bin Salman Al Khalifa pointed out that the BREEF is close to finishing all preparations and putting the final touches in organising the National Day Endurance Championship.
He said that the directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad came to emphasise the importance of early preparations for this race, adding that according to this guidance, BREEF began putting things together early.
Al Fateh Stables Coach Shaikh Salman bin Sager Al Khalifa explained that the National Day ride is surely the most powerful and important race of the season. He said that it will be strong and distinctive, and will see a high level of competition with the participation of some of the most powerful stables, especially in the presence of the Royal Endurance Team led by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad.
Shaikh Salman bin Sager expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and BREEF President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa on the large and continuous support to encourage stables and riders to participate in all competitions of the season.
