Petrojet stayed on the coat tails of Group B leaders Ismaily after crushing promoted Minya 3-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday. Khaled Abdel-Razek broke the deadlock on 52 minutes and Nigerian forward James Owoboskini doubled their lead three minutes later. Ahmed Omran wrapped up the win in stoppage time as Petrojet maintained their fine start to the Premier League. They have seven points from three games, two short of Ismaily who gained maximum points. In Group A, ENPPI beat Ghazl El-Mahalla 3-1 despite playing with ten men for around 65 minutes due to the first-half dismissal of defender Rami Sabri. Striker Salah Ashour scored twice in the first 22 minutes but Mahalla's Mahmoud Bazid narrowed the gap after converting a penalty shortly after. Ahmed Refaat ensured ENPPI's win with a 49th-minute strike as ENPPI climbed to third with four points from two games, on level with leaders Maqassa who played a game more. Defending champions Ahly will move top if they beat Smouha in Alexandria later in the day. Source: Ahram Online
