London - Arabstoday

Lekhwiya moved six points clear at the top of the Qatari League with a 2-1 win over Al Rayyan. Two goals in the first six minutes of the second half from Aruna Dindane and Madjid Bougherra put them in control, and although Yong-Hyung Cho got the visitors back in it with a 61st-minute goal, Lekhwiya hung on to extend their advantage over Al Wakra, who play their game in hand away to Al Jeish tomorrow. Al Khor are up to sixth after coming from behind to win 2-1 away to Umm Salal. The hosts led through Everaldo Cabore's 22nd-minute strike, but Beli Moumouni Dagano levelled three minutes before the break and Hassan Fateh scored the winner from the penalty spot midway through the second half. Two goals late in the first half from Yahia Kiepi and Mohammed Abdul Rehman gave Al Khrityat a 2-0 win at Al Ahly.
