Kuwaiti bikers performed well in the 2nd GCC Charity Bike Show 2015 here on Friday night, winning the first places after bagging 10 trophies in all categories of the competition.
Nedhal Amin won three trophies in the three categories; Softail, Trick and V-Rod, while Amer Buadnan won the title of the Sportster category.
Fahad Salmin came in second in the Super Sport category, and Dhari Al-Ajmi got the second place in the Gold Wing category.
Mohammad Al-Sahaf won the trophy of Radical category and best of the best award, while second place went to Eissa Al-Ostaz after getting the Super Sport trophy.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Sahaf expressed his happiness for winning the first place, noting all Kuwaiti bikers were keen on competing well to snatch several trophies.
"Kuwaiti bikers always perform well in such competitions as they are the leaders of this sport in the Gulf region," he said.
For his part, Osama Salmin, a referee at the competition, said he was astonished as about 98 Gulf bikers participated in the event in different categories, thanking all officials and the Soul Riders MC for the well-organized event.
Salman Khalifa Al-Tamimi, captain of the Kuwaiti Scooter team, affirmed Kuwaiti racers' keenness to take part in this event as it comes as a fund-raising campaign for Qatar Charity.
He noted that Kuwaiti team's participation in the event reflects the depth of popular relations between the two countries, indicating that the teams will take part in two other GCC events next Monday and Thursday.
Khaled Al-Hammdi, head of the organizing committee, expressed his gratitude to Kuwaitis for their effective participation in this competition, congratulating them on their trophies.
He noted that the event aimed to exchange expertise in this field and support charity activities.
The event featured several categories, including Sportster, Dyna, Softail Touring, V-Rod, Vintage, Touring, Metric Touring, Chopper, Bobber, Burgor, Radical, Trick, Super Shot, Spider CanAm, Hayabousa, best paintwork, and public's choice award. A large number of bikers from the GCC member states and other countries across the globe took part in the event organized by the Soul Riders Motorcycle Club at the Aspire Zone.
